Bonus Recipe - Smoothies For Breakfasts & Snacks

Smoothies For Breakfasts & Snacks

Smoothies are my go-to for a really great quick breakfast or snack option. If you don't own a small personal Magic Bullet blender, I highly recommend purchasing one. I use mine everyday ... it is so handy and clean up is a breeze! Try to choose at least 1 ingredient from each category for a fully balanced boost of energy: Smoothies are also a really great way to use up any produce that may be expiring soon. Experiment with some of your favorite fruits and vegetables! Add some ice and blend!

Fruits
Bananas - Bananas are great for thickening your smoothie. You can also cut them up and put them in the freezer and use them frozen. Great way to use old bananas instead of throwing them out!
Fresh or frozen berries such as blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, etc. Berries are very high in antioxidants and are therefore a perfect addition to a smoothie!
Fresh or frozen pineapple, mango, kiwi, cherries, pears, green apples, red apples, or any of your favorites! Experiment!
Lime juice
Oranges

Vegetables
Fresh or frozen spinach
Celery
Cucumber
Mint Leaves
Kale
Parsley
Any vegetables can be added. Again, feel free to experiment.

Dairy-Free Additions
Coconut milk, almond milk, oat milk (or any dairy free milk options)

Essential Oils

If you struggle with autoimmune conditions, essential oils are very powerful in supporting your body's needs. They can help reduce inflammation, act as a natural form of pain relief, and are also very useful in coping with stress, anxiety, insomnia, brain fog and other autoimmune symptoms. Additionally, choosing natural, safe everyday products like shampoo, deodorant & cleaning supplies, can reduce toxic overload which also contributes to inflammation.
